I experience the locking of the fibula head from time to time and pain all along my Peroneus longus and brevis down to my ankle on the outside especially when I’m the squat position or going downstairs. Suffering for about 3 years now. Age 71. Any ideas?

  • @sukimala

can you get this adjustment if you had a meniscus tear surgery ?

I experienced a feeling of my knee being dislocated when this was performed by a chiro and I was in alot of pain and not able to move my lower leg. I was able to get my foot to my bottom and something released and I was able to regain movement. No one has been able to tell me why and it happens still.

Hi there. I am currently experiencing proximal tibialfibular dislocation. It happens often as I practice jiu jitsu. It happens when my left knee is in flexion and my foot doriflexes and internally rotates and I’m knee locks. I can pop it back in by simply extending the leg. There’s soreness for a few days and it’s good to go.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Perhaps the taping? Is surgery the only option? Please help!

is it possible for it to be out the other way around?
so, instead of twisting forward you would have to twist backward with your hand, or that is not possible?

Hi there, I think I have the same problem with the proximal tibial fibular joint. Is there any way to strengthen the muscles around that area? I had surgery in 2017 due to martial arts from 2005. I got back into martial arts and my orthopedic doctor said that my meniscus was causing the catch. So he repaired the meniscus in March of 2020. Well now the knee locks up if I even try to sit Indian style a little. It's extremely painful like the other gentleman said. Any help would greatly be appreciated because I'm not going to go into the knife again. So if you know any exercises to strengthen the muscles around that area, it would greatly be appreciated. By the way I'm currently in physical therapy and it doesn't seem to be helping the knee problem.

Hello, my knee locks in this position, it feels like a dislocation in the Tib/fib head as when it pops back into place it’s with a very noticeable thunk! Very painful,
Any help would be appreciated! Kind regards

Shouldn't you do a little extra rotation of the Tibia in this manipulation?! Personally I add always a little of extra rotation and it works better! However I like your videos, keep it going.
