3 all natural births no epidural, nothing for pain, all natural in a hospital setting…..
It wasn’t difficult for me really enjoyed be pregnant as well as giving birth…
It’s an individual thing, no need to superimpose a personal choice, what ever works for Mom and baby

Remember this is a man who gives the procedure telling you this…. I ABSOLUTELY regret getting and epidural because they ruined my back. I have so much unnecessary pain ….there are other pain management options

I regret getting an epidural and not advocating more for myself. I felt the c section start 3 times and had to be put to sleep. The epidural took 20 minutes and was very painful!

I regret it. My first one wasn't working, it wasnt inserted right and was leaking. I was gaslit. I was told it was pressure, not pain.. it was pain. If birth was worse without an epidural, i didnt think i could handle more pain.. The second epidural, second birth, i Felt NOTHING. I also ended up with a lot of back pain around that incision.

I wish id of done them both naturally..

Planned C-section is the only way I am popping a human out me. I paid my pain tax with 20 years of monster periods.

So many lies 😂 I've known lots of people who regretted getting an epidural. Some because of chronic pain where the epidural went into their back. Others because epidurals can slow down labor which can lead to other interventions like having to be induced or even have a c-section. I'm about to have my 4th uneducated birth and I've been "present" for all of them and was able to get up almost immediately after each birth ✌🏻

If women were doing natural births for thousands of years without any medication…I think we will be fine. Of course some people can’t handle the pain, but if you can…I would think that would be better

I mean, that sounds wonderful until you get a spinal headache from the epidural. I also had preeclampsia so the spinal headache made my blood pressure go to 205 (top #). I had to receive a blood patch because of the spinal headache. 2nd baby: the epidural didn’t even work. Anesthesiologist tried 3x. I guess I am just not a good candidate for an epidural 🤷‍♀️

I had all 3 of my boys completely natural wo any pain medication. I was completely present at all stages of the labor and delivery. As crazy as this sounds, I actually enjoyed labor with my 1st 2 boys. With my last son, I had wanted an epidural after enduring excruciating pain, to the point I could barely walk from a severe UTI the last few weeks of pregnancy. Every step felt like I was straddling a red hot knife. The UTI was so bad that I temporarily went into kidney failure after giving birth. My labor progressed too fast and was unable to get the epidural. The pain was unlike anything I've ever experienced but I was still fully aware and present during my 3.5 hr labor that included my son getting stuck because my cervix not coming all the way forward because I have a slight deformity where my cervix is angled to the right and almost completely faces my spine. Drs told me I'd most likely never get pregnant on my own due to this deformity. WRONG!! Thankfully I was quite the opposite. He was also much larger then we expected. 22.5 inches long, 9lbs 3 oz. (My 1st 2 were 5 lb 11oz and 6lbs 10 oz) I literally thanked my Dr when he cut me (which he did wo even giving a local because i was tearing front and back & his vitals were very unstable) thru all this I was remained completely present. The pain didn't hinder my ability to make the right medical decisions for myself or my son when nothing went as it was supposed to.

Looking back now, I'm thankful I ended up not getting the epidural. I'd only agreed to it because of the pain I'd already experienced from the UTI the month before. I didn't think I could survive adding labor pain on top of that pain. But I did, and I'd do it all over again the exact same way.

In NO way do I think I'm a better woman because I went thru my labors med free. What was the right choice for me doesn't mean it is the right choice for other women. And that's 💯 ok and NO women should ever be made to feel bad for choosing the path that is right for them. Frankly that's how I feel it should be about every aspect of a persons life, male or female. We each have our own life path to fulfill. We should be allowed to do it wo fear of being judged or rejected.

Mama of one here, 7 yr old daughter… I regret my epi for one reason and one reason only… It made it EXTREMELY HARD to push. I had a dry birth, meaning all my amniotic fluid was gone and they had to do an infusion. It took 22 mins to push her out and those extra mins would have been never happened had I been able to feel how I was pushing. I struggled so hard bc I couldn't feel anything. She was blue from head to toe but was ok. She will be 8 on 9/26. If I ever have another (big if lol) I will do my very best to skip the epi for that reason.

  • @GabbyBrae74

I had my first w/o meds my second I was doing fine but he wasn't had a emergency c-section but in the end he was healthy and big at 11 pounds 11 ounces

  • @helenbryant6540

There are defo pros to epidurals, and I feel that no woman should feel disappointed in herself for having one. But that’s not what he said, he said “no woman regrets having an epidural” which isn’t true. Shame, he clearly doesn’t fully appreciate the pros of unmedicated birth too, and that he has provided his opinion as a fact.

  • @augiemusky

Birth is SO much less painful at home. I regret getting an epidural. I was COERCED into accepting an epidural I did not want.

  • @lauriwagner391

My epidural helped during birth but went horribly wrong the next day. My headache was horrific, worst pain Ive ever felt in my life. We all have heard of seeing double but I was seeing 5 of everything. To fix it the had to take blood and shoot it into my spine, not fun ut grateful they could fix it.

  • @marieconstantia4441

I not only wanted an epidural, but I wanted to numb my entire body. I have such a low tolerance for pain.
