Is it worth taking bsc in biotechnology rather than btech in bioinformatics? Example in placements and salaries?
I'm starting bsc biotechnology after my 12th grade but most of the people I have talked to about my interests, gave me negative feedback for seeking good career opportunities in the biotech field. As for job placement, difficult studies, lack of opportunities and even facing under employment despite having huge interest in biology and technical field, I'm getting double minded because of all these thoughts popping up. I really need some strong and supportive feedback to make sure I'm not going to waste my time in this field, because after all this hard work I do want to earn well in the end. 🙃🙃
So many students DM me on Instagram and say, Ma'am which course should I choose? 🤔 BSC biotechnology or btech biotechnology.
If you want to go for research and academia pursue bsc 👩🏻🎓 and if you're interested in applying technical knowledge go for betch👩🏻🔬.

📍 Eligibility- check your percentage first. For btech at least 50% and for BSC 45% is needed.
I'm sure most of you are eligible for both the courses. So, next you should check-
📍Field of interest- Which fields excites you the most? Would you like to do research or would like to apply your technical and problem solving knowledge to develop a product etc etc. Choose a field which excites you the most.
Btw, Btech has broader scope than bsc 👀
📍Colleges and Fee- let's face the reality, most of us take courses based on how much we can invest.
Top colleges apart from government can cost a ton 💰
Avarage fee of~
Bsc – 50k to 1.50 lakh
Btech – 25k to 2.5 lakh
📍 Companies and salary – of course we are studying to earn. Research both the courses on salary companies provide to freshers, graduates or master students. You'll get a better idea. The average salary is mentioned in the reel.
