One thing that will drive u crazy when you study in Malaysia is when u wait for your passport to be returned by some department s! Slow and bad efficiency. Sometimes more than two months. It also can breed some cheaters who claim that they can expedite it and get back the passport soon.

Hi all, I'm moroccan, I plan to go to malaysia to persue studies, I'll be there this summer, I've studied in public university in Morocco, I've done also private after in Morocco and Tunisia, I can say that government universities have very very bad service because of the high number of clients, it is too hard to get information there and too hard to succeed at getting the completion of your program, in the other hand, private universities or colleges give customized high service quality because of the low number of clients and it's easier to get grades based on who you are, as in private system, professors or lecturers know most of their student unlike government universities where you can study 4 years without knowing in person one or let's say two lecturers, I agree that the quality of education is better in public universities in the way that they strenghten student's resistency and also there is a high quantity of content that is learnt at a short time, note that in public a lot of issues met by the students stay unsolved as staff there act like if it's not a right to study and that the government pays them, not the students, so students have no rights, in private, students feel that there are lot of staff members that are helping them solve their problems and geting information is easier, but in public, student is like a ghost, it's a nobody, there, it's too hard to get the course content, I remember once, I was looking for a professor and there was three people in the amphitheater attending the course without knowing who is the lecturer who teachs them, one thing is good about public universities is scholarships perhaps, maybe this can't be generalized as I talk about my experience in Morocco and it's my personal interpretation of facts and I deduce that malaysia will not be too much different even if it's somehow more developped than Morocco, so personnaly, based on my experience, I recommend private education generally if you are not wanting to waste your years, regarding the knowledge level you get, that depends more on your personal effort and time investment in learning, not wether it's public or private.

  • @thewalker9939

Based on my personal experience, I completely agree with you. I understand the disappointment that can come from dealing with a private university.

  • @mohammedhussein8112

I am an Iraqi PhD student. I came to Malaysia in 2017-2018 to study, I had a problem with the supervisor Nasri Bin Sulaiman, which is a personal problem, asking me to pay a bribe as well as to waive the complaint filed at the university (UPM), and as a result, he is not allowe to me to complete the means of graduation from it: I was isolated from university and college for a period of time. Eight months, that is, I am now an inactive student. He did not allow me to enter the laboratory for the purpose of completing the practical part as well as publishing research. I am now in the eighth semester. He also insulted me with ugly words, and I am looking for an official to save me from this oppressor. Where do I go … Greetings to you
