Bloom’s taxonomy: 🔼
– The hierarchy explains that there are tiers of learning outcomes that are categorized based on the student’s ability to manipulate the information. If the student can engage in thoughts that are higher-order during their encoding and retrieval practices, they will be able to possess a deeper understanding of the material.
Second brain: 🧠
– Second brain relies on an external system for capturing, organizing, retrieving, and archiving ideas rather than solely your memory. When you document these ideas and package them in an accessible way, you are able to utilize them more efficiently. Moreover, you don’t have to worry about losing valuable information over time!
Feynman technique: 🗣️
– The Feynman Technique is a study strategy that involves explaining a topic in your own words as if you were teaching it to someone else who has no background knowledge. It helps simplify complex ideas, identify gaps in understanding, and build a stronger foundation of knowledge.
Spaced repetition: 📆
– Naturally as humans we have a tendency to forget A LOT of information very rapidly. Spacing out your revisions appropriately allows you to enhance long-term retention + increase efficiency as you won’t need to study as long in each subsequent session.
Priming: 🧩
– Our brains’ ability to deeply understand and remember a piece of information is greatly improved when there are more relevant connections to it. By understanding the big picture of the topic before your classes, you make every newly learned detail more meaningful by connecting it to what you already know.

I have a tendency to understand lessons easily, on the other side, I also tend to easily forget what I learned
Feynman technique + spaced revision along with adequate sleep for perfect retention and formation of long term memory from short term memory in Association area ❤
In bloom's taxonomy (revised version), there's higher order thinking skills and lower order thinking skills. Lower order thinking skills sets the blueprint while the higher order thinking skills will be the actual product.
In teachers lesson plan, as much as possible (required in other curriculum) after LOTS (lower thinking skills) the last objective should be in HOTS (Higher order thinking skills) bcoz hots consists of analyzing, evaluating, and creating which helps in retention of knowledge and critical thinking. Example of hots are probing and creating questions that will challenge your understanding of the text or lesson. This will test if you were able to remember and understand what you read or learn.
This is not just memorizing, it's understanding and developing.
During college, activities that focuses in bloom's taxonomy helps me alot. I was a deans lister in college and graduated with latin honor. And I hope this helps for the future deans listers and latin honor graduates ❤❤❤❤
All right! You got my attention.
