Let us take a look at two persons leading different lifestyles. One man is a doctor and has a family with three children. Although he is busy, he is leading a regulated and balanced life. He sleeps from about 10:30 to 6:30 am every day. He prepares fresh, healthy foods and avoids fast foods. He spends as much time as possible in nature and with her family. He does not like to watch negative and violent content on TV or online. By his lifestyle choices he is supporting the health of his body and mind. This way he will not be stressed out very easily. Another doctor with similar responsibilities has an erratic schedule and lifestyle. She does not exercise, does not eat healthy, sleeps too little and is always bombarding herself with a lot of information and activities. By her lifestyle choices her health deteriorates and is creating a fertile ground for illness in the future. As the mind and body feel overworked, they cannot cope well with the demands of life, and such a person may more easily experience stress and tension.

I would argue that when you're speaking to a group full of anxious people the last thing you want to tell them is that they have an increased risk of heart attack. I stopped watching after that anyone else?

Excessive stress can not only damage the body, but also have a negative impact on the mind. Stress in life can be hard to avoid, so I hope everyone can find their own ways to relieve stress, maintain a healthy body, and enjoy each day.

Here are some easy ways to help relax:

    1. Get your green tea on

This herbal tonic gives you the benefits of L-Theanine, a chemical that can help reduce the body’s stress responses Trusted Source. Plus just staring at a mug of the green liquid on your desk might calm you, too, thanks to the earthy color’s ability to soothe Trusted Source.

    2. Chillax with some chocolate

When you need a quick break, break off a square of dark chocolate to boost your brain health and reduce stress Trusted Source. As an added bonus, dark chocolate is lower in sugar than milk chocolate, but it hits the sweet tooth sweet spot.

    3. Help yourself to a little honey

The amber elixir from our buzzy friends may help relieve anxiety, fight off depression, and even protect the brain Trusted Source.

Drizzle honey in your tea, coffee, yogurt, or just go straight for the jar with a spoon. The sweet stuff also works for a quick energy boost.

    4. Go tropical

Take a five-minute break to peel, slice, and bite into a juicy mango. Weird fact: Mangos contain a compound called linalool, the main ingredient in lavender essential oil. And you know what lavender does — ahhhhh. It may reduce stress and anxiety Trusted Source.

    5. Chomp some chewing gum

Maybe you’re stuck in annoying traffic, frantically cleaning the house before your in-laws show, or hammering out that final term paper. Chewing gum is an easy way to keep the stress monster at bay while potentially boosting your mood and productivity Trusted Source.

    6. Crunch and munch

Instead of clenching your jaw, may as well put it to work. Trail mix, an apple, or some celery sticks provide a satisfying crunch to curb your spiral.
