  • @theflexitech

I see human relations, human resources, as a slave owners guide to implementing modern day taylorism..

  • @Princeton_James

Are there men in this field or is it seen as a womans job? Like you never see men who are preschool teachers for example. Just asking.

  • @Ghfvhvfg

Thaks for beeeing an ashole to all of us i hate ther rigndsness ans lowness of HR

  • @kershamartin7353

Sometimes, HR does terminate employees. Certain companies, the manager terminates their employees with HR management approval or recommendation.

  • @davids-c1f

Human resources and WH&S are evil people only concerned about compliance and exposing employees to experimental medical procedures based only on someones opinion with zero evidence.

  • @BeastLegend91

HR is a great career field and in demand. I think if you are deadset on being in HR then getting a HR degree will get you looked at more by employers hiring for HR positions do to the titled of your degree. However, if get degree in business management or business administration, you will still get looked at and learn enough in those classes to jump into an HR career. Plus the business management and administration degrees are more flexible, just in case you get burnt out of HR. Also, don't underestimate undergrad and graduate certificates, employers see these an take them as experience and education at the same time while taking less time to complete and cheaper.

  • @kayysheeee

i cant help but notice that you're being very pessimistic about this field

  • @crystalizeplays9103

Can you transition into HR from a non-business non-HR bachelors degree? (E.g. IT)

  • @saha9502

Sir after my undergrad i wanna studied MS in HRM in usa is it possible to get full fund MSc?

  • @Mav0585

What do you think about have an MBA, and going and getting a CHRO Certificate (Wharton School)?

  • @Itzkiirann

Hi please anyone suggest me : i m deciding to pursue bba in human resource management in Australia after 12th in commerce so will it worth or not..?

  • @newtonmoon

Do you think a Masters an Organizational Psychology is better for an HR Manager to have as perhaps far more HR people have a Masters in HR?

  • @johnrainsman6650

Do I have use HR against my boss? She was upset I had signed up for a one-person shift. The manager below her rank (a 24/25-year-old man) is supposed to organize and keep an eye on who works which shifts on the schedule. Our boss scolded him for not noticing I had signed up to go solo for a coffee service, I believe. When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt belittled by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" (something like, that, so I'm not perfectly quoting her), and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. That was very insensitive and harsh, and I think that if she said that to a person with a learning disability, they would be hurt and deem her a bigot. I should've told her that, to make a point to her about tact. Can I go to HR for this?

  • @Hamzakins

i love the content, but is the data that you are displaying only apply in the US or European countries as well?

  • @AlComedyy

Yeah I’m definitely staying and will study this major in the future.

  • @hernan24ify

I work in payroll, currently I'm persuing my Payroll Compliance Professional certificate , I'm not sure if it would be better to study human resources or accounting 😬

  • @Jr42501

Hey Shane, Im currently in college trying to obtain my degree in business. Would it be better to major in a field with a minor, or have a general degree with a concentration?

  • @KiaraWilliams-Wilson-mp2pc

I have been in HR for 7 years working in sales compensation and I love it! I work mostly with leadership and sales teams building incentive plans and variable pay options with bonuses and commission plans. I got into HR before graduating college and make a nice salary.

  • @kingofme8863

I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology. A psych degree coupled with HR work experience suffices a HRM degree in my opinion. I find that a HR certificate from an accredited college, or SHRM/HRCI certification would be best in lieu of a undergraduate or graduate degree. It saves time, money, and is specific to what you and/or your employer is looking for.

  • @lilithrealm

I’m currently studying accounting with taxes and I would like to study another major in Human Resources if I have the opportunity.

  • @BadAssMacmillan

Does the masters program in Human Resource Management have a lot of math? I’m asking because I’m not good at math

  • @sajeshg334

Can i study mba in hrm after studying ba in hrm?

  • @TheXnuT

Sorry for saying this but the reason why I decided to pursue this degree is because of TOBY from the Office. Like seriously. Not because of how he constantly gets mistreated by Michael Scott, but because of the job title and the way he manages in all those years in the office. Almost 60% of the people in the state where I live choose Amazon, Boeing, Fedex, etc. The rest is in retails + restaurant services. I just fell in love with this career after an assignment in college success class. I will not regret this no matter how hard or challenging it is. I've spent nearly 9 years in retails and seriously I'm amazed that I havent kicked the bucket yet.

  • @purposebydesign

I am thinking about getting my MHRM or MBA. I was in the military for a few years so, thankfully, I have great options. I'm entitled to 150 free hours at any public university/college since I enlisted in Texas.

I'm thankful that I have 150 hours to use as I please. I already have a bachelor's so I will probably get more than one advanced degree and transfer the remaining hours to my daughter.

Also, I'm an HR Specialist with the federal government. I came in as a GS-9/11/12….career ladder position. I just started back in November. Always be on the lookout for jobs that are open to the general public. As well, I came in under the HR STAR Trainee Program.

Lots of HR and other opportunities with the federal government and other entities. I did HR with the Department of Corrections and social services….the state jobs had a lower salary but, it still worked out for me. 🙂🙂 In everything give thanks 😊

  • @StuartHollingsead

Did you know that in the NAZI concentration camps, the guards would bribe an inmate to be the go between. I think they called them enforcers.
If I got an HR degree, that is what I would feel like. One of those who betrays their own people.

  • @emileigh6524

Based on some comments, it makes sense why many HR teams are horrible lol. Also it seems many people are only focused on some part of hr, the one "easy" to get into. Meanwhile many specialized jobs fall into HR and typically only hire HR graduate.

  • @margo7638

Thanks for video. This is actual topic. I also have a problem with looking for the best candidates. I'm waste a loooong time. Colleagues, how you decide this problem? Which do you use a site or platforms?

    Tell me yours lifehack)

  • @MonicaJasmineOFFICIAL

I’m an HR Master graduate trying to get into talent acquisition but my current position makes the same as a newbie in HR…. Even though I’m an insurance defense paralegal at a law firm. I’ve trained other all star employees. I just don’t know how to transition into HR without losing salary.

I want to get either the same to start out or higher like most. I’m just getting paid the same as it I would start talent aquistion it’s not enough to leave. 🥹 I’m stuck in a bubble

  • @jasonusaf6326

I have my BA in HR Management. It s a very versatile degree because EVERYONE in EVERY industry needs HR folks. Every company has people. Plus you can use the degree as a springboard foundation into specific disciplines such as Occupational Safety and Workers Comp which is my specialty.

  • @Gracieevxi

i REALLY WANT AN ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION. I am 22 years old. I was hoping to complete my studies in English or Communication Studies, however that did not happen due to lack of availability. Can i still be something in Comms or English with my HR degree?

  • @DavidStewart-np3cj

30 yrs old been in the HR field for 8 year and an HR Manager, heres the raw deal: the field sucks, you get no respect from you operators, constantly overruled by operators, and when the company cant make margin they blame you. It is a thankless, unsatisfying job of hiring people, doing investigations and making recommendations. ALWAYS RECOMMENDATIONS never decision to the GM , Ops Mgr, and District Ops Mgr. AND your co-workers will always female. You will feel like a Bull in China Shop at every corporate meeting. Pick something else or join the military and learn a new skill because HR is simply a glorified office manager.

  • @lisaverweij8806

I think a HRM degree by itself is okay, but if earning is what you want, you can add to it. Adding CIPD would get you on the way to chief people officer which would earn 116-333k per year in ireland for example

  • @soumyaroy3521

I absolutely love Human Resources field. There are two colleges in India called as Tata Institute of Social Sciences and XLRI which provides Master's in HR and the degree and the skills they provide is world-class. They have the best Placements and Alumni Network in top MNCs of the world. In the US the MA in HRM from Texas A&M, University of Minnesota and Cornell HRM course is great. My dream is to pursue Master's in HR from any of these highly esteemed Institutions. 👍😊
