Do you have to know how to speak the other countries language? If not, how do American teachers communicate with the people, theyre teaching English?

How do you go about finding a job? Are there companies that deal with tesol or telf? How do you know which companies are legitimate?

As much as I love what you're doing here. I believe you immediately deterred a huge demographic of people by saying to get a bachelors.

You and I know very well that you DO NOT have to get a bachelor's to teach abroad. If you only have a TEFL it limits the places a little and it's about $2k lower per month in what you will get paid.

I feel strongly about this because, though I'm a senior completing my undergraduate (B.S)here in the best and great state of Oregon.
I am getting my one year's M.A the year right after that ( because I want to teach high school).

People are sensitive & assume there's no way they could teach abroad. The way you said, "get a degree." With all due respect that is the most, "white privilege" form of display in a well meaning way I have ever seen.

If you ever read this. I would be amazed if you edited your video and made sure the audience knows that a bachelors degree IS NOT a must to teach abroad.

What organization and company you get your TEFL through? That's a whole other story. For me? What I did? I picked six countries and read their education requirements.

I made sure to see EXACTLY what type of TEFL I had to have (hours completed) and all that well before I signed up with a company.

It's like Oregon, Washington and Idaho saying, "Yes we accept people who make their own water!"

Then you show up to the border of Oregon and have your self made water. But Oregonians say, "Wait, that doesn't look like water that has a minimum PH level of 8.8?"

That's basically how you navigate with making sure who you go through for TEFL. Some countries might accept TEFL certificates 100 hours or less. Most never will. The company certifying you and taking your money for that 100 hour TFFL is never gonna tell you that thoug.
