Omg!! I never realky realized it!! I'be always had amooth skin growing up. My face wasn't too oily or dry. It was more in the middle. for 44 years I was loving how people would just admire my Flawles Asian skin. Then, I watched a video showing Hydroplaning and people say it makes your skin smooth like a baby. I did it and swore my face was smooth like a baby's afterwards and continued to put on my night serum and moisturizer( i've been using for 10years) than felt like stinging hot that my face turned red. I woke up the nezt day with tiny bumps on my cheeks and jawline. They then turned into full cystic acnes after a few days. I went to a dermatologist and gave me tretinoin and it worked for a few months and then my gace dried up and my skin barrier was damaged and dry! I stopped using any other acne products in my face.
My skin started clearing up after this new skin routine:
1. Cerave facial wash
2. Panoxyl wash(3minutes)
3. Protease toner
4. Good molecules Serums
5. Vanicream mousturizer

Benzoyl Peroxide is available over the counter but not Clindamycin.
Did you sanitize the blade before shaving? Always use at least 70% alcohol to clean the blade and I even do it throughout the process to ensure no bacteria is transferring. That's how I stopped breaking out after shaving.
Sorry that happened to you. Thanks for sharing. My mom & aunt (Spanish Ecuadorian) told me never shave. It cuts the superficial, grows in more thick & difficult causing cysts no so much acné, but acné like. My aunt told me "Cera Española" Spanish wax from Spain extremely cheap IS an wax which with use will eventually stop growing. Gigi honey bee cold wax the same & not that expensive either. Cosmelan IS expensive maybe marketplace less at Office $900 fabulous dark skin marking removals peeling made in Spain but sold all over USA. Tretinoin IS great as IS RetinA. All the BEST.:)

I just also have to warn you against hyaluronic acid. Its and ingredient you have to avoid if you use retinoids as it drags the retinoids deeper into the skin which is absolutely what we don't want. I saw it on dermatologist videos like Dr Dray.
Also Dr Shereen Idriss videos about hyaluronic acid, she describes how it causes inflammation in the skin. Its an overhyped ingredient with the effect of just temporary plumping of the skin. Does not even hydrate the skin. As its overhyped right now its literally in every damns skin care products UGH!
With retinoids (or any skin care) urea is the best ingredient and holy grail for hydrated skin adn balanced skin barrier.
I too got acne, (cystic acne!) years ago thanks to shit I saw on the internet. Named "Oil cleansing": The year was around 2009 and oil cleansing was the hype. I had mind you PERFECT skin age 23 until I was like wow oil cleansing makes sense lemme try. And I started with lathering on like pure olive oil on my face and then like wash it off with soap or sometimes, just water. And soon I got, cystic acne that just got worse and worse (I did not understand it was the oil!). I would have pea sized nodules under my skin constantly (cyst sacks) that would erupt to cysts again and again.
Had to take accutane in two occasions etc. Turns out, if you use oil cleansing with pure oil, you are supposed to wash it off with hot water and a hot damp towel (to melt away the oil further) and tripple clean with soap etc. Otherwise the fat will sit on and in your skin. Tasty food for the acne bacteria. But back in 2009 thats not how oil cleansing was described and I did not know better. Not to mention that time I gave my skin a burn on second degree when I followed a home remedy and put pressed raw garlic on my cysts on my face!
Nowdays I avoid oil cleansing and if I use oil I use special oil balms for cleansing away sunscreen and I tripple wash my face with cleansers afterwards.
If you have acne prone skin you are better off with micellar water (instead of oil) followed with cleanser. Oil is not for everyone.
Use an oil cleanser instead or makeup wipes find one that doesnt clog pores

The best makeup removers I've ever used is Clinique Take the Day Off balm to oil makeup remover. I have recently tried a cheaper alternative, Pond's Makeup Remover cream. And it also works well. I used disposable face towels from Amazon to remove my makeup/wash/dry my face. And I'll never go back to a regular towel. I've noticed a huge difference!

I use proactive eye whiting cream. It rocks. I've been using since .I was 40. I have ZERO DARK ARIUND MY EYES. I don't know anyone m6 age that isn't using tons of concealer and whiting power to cobpverbi5 up and they can't go without make up. I can and look younger because I'm hydrated and no Drsk circles of puffiness.

WARNING (THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE THIS MIGHT NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE!!!)
So basically I tried anything and everything to clear my skin, my acne was never terrible but it was pretty bad and kept getting worse. When finally I gave up on all the "skincare stuff" and decided to do the most basic thing possible. And my skin is now clear!!! Here's what I do.
1. I Take a clean washcloth every morning and every evening, get it wet with warm water and gently wash my face with just water. Then I pat my face dry with a clean towel.
2. I then use the Cetaphil gentle moisturizing lotion for normal to dry skin, it's like 10 bucks or something.
3. In the morning number two would be the last step, but in the evening my third step after my lotion is to put Vaseline over my acne prone areas of my face.
And that's all! Just 2 steps in the morning, and 3 steps at night, hope this helps and Jesus loves you all!❤

Unfortunately you don't have a trifector you have a pharmacy of products.
Tretinoin and Benzyl is what is most likely curing your skin. I found when I added mastoora acne serum to my skin care I was able to stop tret during pregnancy.
I think your still using too much, skin isn't that difficult we just don't want to detox our skin from all the things we are using and then see videos like this and feel like we need an array of products
I suggest using an oil cleanser before your regular cleanser instead of the makeup wipes. I did this change and it was a game changer
