So how would one get rid of food that falls all the way down?? Does it just stay there forever??
When i was a kid, i was shooting bb's out a straw, i accidentally inhaled one , and i felt it go to the left side,, it hurt so bad , like a knife was stuck in my chest. I coughed over and over until eventually it came out,,, i will never forget it.

Pretty crazy that the head we're looking at once had a life. He or she was once a child, a teenager. Had hopes and dreams and plans and wondered about life. Even those stupid things like insecurities and embarassment. All of that compiled to finally end up on YT and now I am here, also a person, drinking tea and eating cake at 8am, watching whats happening inside my throat.
What a weird existance we have.
Who else was worshipping God the whole time for how intelligent He is! We truly are fearfully and wonderfully made.

What ultimately happens to the food particulate?
I've gotten liquid in the wrong tube a few times. But one time a red peper flake went down the wrong tube. I never felt worse burning, hurt more than actual burns. It took my 30 minutes until i finally coughed it up

7:33 Sometimes if I get food going down the wrong pipe, I’ll cough it up into the oral cavity and then swallow it back down, without actually spitting it out
Very informative video, I especially liked seeing the dissection, though it was not like when they show them in a movie, the tissue color made it hard to tell where the tongue was. I liked the explanation of the types of cartilage in nose and ear and the cartilage rings in the throat.
Nifty stuff.
Its amazing how complicated our bodily functions are and how much of our body works "automatically", like the coughing reflex.
Why is it that nursing babies are able to breath and swallow simultaneously? I know why its important but how does the structural aspect differ in them?
It really sucks when water goes down the wrong pipe. What do I wash it down with?
