How much does a staff accountant make?

  • @user-gu1hh1rc7g

Wouldn’t a cpa licensee require you to work for two years in a cpa firm? If yes do how would I get the experience required for cpa working in AP?

  • @TheDirtylacesTv

What is you have a degree in a different field? Does that help/ hurt ?

  • @he_lives_in_apineapple_und9743

I have an AAS (Associate of Applied Science degree), an accounting certificate and a Bookkeeping certificate. I graduated December 2022. I received my official diplomas today and I still have no found an AP or AR job in my area or state that doesn't want 3-5 years experience or a Bachelor's degree.
Those degree and these certificates were a scam and waste of money!! So no, I don't believe this crap.

  • @felixrodriguez5847

Do you think an accounting certificate is worth it, or should I just go for a bachelor's degree?

  • @Franky566

you legaly can not call yourself an accountant in the USA without a bachelors degree in accounting, economics, or finance.

  • @tomorrowwheatley8606

hi, new subscriber! I am now an AP specialist and I am looking to get certified, but i don’t know where or do you think it’s worth it? (please reply if you can)

  • @PDXLibertarian

No degree here, but when I started bookkeeping, I found I loved accounting and had a knack for it. Lots of other accountants who went to school had no idea what actual accounting is before they started working, and I find they're more rules-based than principles based and often don't like it.

  • @dazzlenovak7519

With automation likely happening to bookkeeping, A/P, A/R jobs, would an Accounting degree still be worth it? Lower level jobs going away means that getting an entry level job or breaking into the field would be near impossible.

  • @BUTTA408_

You summes this up easy as pie

  • @toyamongard5808

Doesn’t CMA’s make more than CPA’s why would a CMA opt for Procurement and not a finance role?

  • @staystrongpeople4942

Get that CPA License folks. I wish I would have done that 30 years ago lol

  • @Tod53848

    Thanks for making the content

  • @smithivan1457

I work in hospitality sector at the moment with 8 year experience and counting!.

What can someone with a BSc Accounting and MSc Finance earn outside travel and tourism/hospitality industry?

Your input is highly appropriated in advance.

    Thank

  • @Shanshu72

No degree, and started as an administrative assistant/bookkeeper. After two years, I am the Finance Controller. 😂

  • @salman617

Great video. I will like to be a controller in the future. Currently a CPA in big 4 Tax. Received 2 offers in industry with 2 public companies +1B in revenue. One is for a revenue accounting staff and the other one internal audit staff. Which one would you recommend? I just want to leave tax ASAP but don’t want to hurt my career any further. I will appreciate your opinion. Thank you!

  • @JohnBinMO

I'm considering pursuing an A.A.S. degree in accounting. I take it this is something you would recommend?

  • @rb6_elite150

I’m in my third semester to get a associate in accounting then transferring to get a bachelors

  • @jodyclark7527

Is a Masters of Accounting a decent degree? What kind of entry level position would that education allow?

  • @ramizabdulahad8419

I just signed a full time offer for "Junior Bookkeeper" at a merchandise company after 1 year of studying. Couldn't be happier.

  • @zan1971

Wow this was good information. I didn't know you could get paid so much with simple high school degree. Also feels weird that Accounts Payable Manager is 95k but CPA after so much work and probably gathering experience is 200k. Just a 100k jump.

If you are to transfer merits and virtues
    to someone else, choose someone
    who is a virtuous individual.
Helping an evil person not only
    creates karmic obstacles,
but also amounts to aiding and abetting
    their wrongdoings.
