I humbly request an episode with the Mufti of Perlis, he may not converse too well in English, but I think he is not too bad. Most important is his knowledge on topics.

  • @shen7728

Salam KS, I think you should try to invite Dr Jonathan Brown…..

  • @nagasatwa

I think this is the right moment to interview Bassem Youssef, he was a heart surgeon doctor in Egypt who had difficulties during Arab Spring & became a comedian in the US, which happened to have family members in Palestine.

Or perhaps Mohammed Hijab. He's famous now. Or Zakir Naik

  • @lizabubakar

    Jadi..

Bila this scholar nak buat classes for the #PrimeMinisteriXI
Women votes banyak across the board, kami dok tunggu #GE to vote dalam rahsia.

  • @MrSpeedey7

1.87 billion Muslims had not won a single Nobel Prize in Science???? But 14 million Jews had won 198????? So obviously every part of life is connected to the intelligent Jews???? Muslims are too far behind on just "Intelligence Level". PhD in Theology is not worth the paper it is printed on?????

  • @fareezaizat8684

Regarding inheritance, basically Dr Mariam want to change the faraid law, to be exact is to equalize the inheritance for daughter and son? isnt that the ruling from Allah, why need to change that just bcs some exceptional cases?? why westerner so obsessed with equalizing everything between men and women, just bcs in some things the ruling is not equal, doenst means one are oppressed

  • @edayhashim

I love your series on Islamic thoughts. It shows the sophistication of Islam and combats the negative narratives about Islam. Can you also bring in Sheikh Yasir Qadhi or Omer Suleiman for this kind of discourse?

  • @user-de7gu8np9f

Another great intellectual discourse…this time with Dr. Mariam Sheibani. Job well done KS for being able to bring another great scholar to us. As always KJ & SH made the conversation very meaningful by drawing great insights about Islam in the west from Dr. Mariam. Congratulations to all 3 of you.

    Salam KS.
    Another great yet informative episode.

  • @fadhlulridhuan

Another great guest and a great session you have today! Good job KS. I really hope many Malaysians watching this session. For the next session, I would like to suggest Syed Ali Tawfik Al-Attas, or other inspiring Muslim sports figures e.g. Sadio Mane (I'm amazed about the story of him giving charities back in his hometown) or Sifan Hassan.

  • @ammarfaqeh6052

Please invite Prof naquib and Tan Sri Daud Bakar..Barakallahufikum

  • @mm_7202

Really interesting discussions. Thank you for bringing in Dr. Mariam Sheibani and for asking many good questions. Fun fact: I participated in a tazkiyah camp with Dr. Mariam in 2007 before I returned to Malaysia for good. Proud of the educator / scholar whom she has become. Allahumma baariklaha 😊

In the West the Islamic tribunals are supposed to serve family law issues first. One issue is the number of salafis there vs traditional scholars and the low number of tribunals.

  • @fixxzitt

My opinion is that the problem is when we treat Islam as a religion, but it’s not, islam is a comprehensive way of life. This perspective is supported by various aspects of Islamic teachings and principles, which encompass all areas of life, including spiritual, moral, social, and legal dimensions. Here are a few key points that highlight this holistic approach:

    1. Comprehensive Guidance – The Quran and Hadith (sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad) provide detailed guidance on all aspects of life, from worship and spirituality to ethics, social justice, family life, business transactions, and governance. This comprehensive guidance reflects the idea that Islam is meant to be a complete way of life.

    2. Integration of Faith and Action – Islam emphasizes the integration of belief and practice. Acts of worship like prayer, fasting, and charity are meant to be reflected in one’s daily behavior and interactions, fostering a consistent application of Islamic principles in all aspects of life.

    3. Moral and Ethical Framework – Islamic teachings provide a moral and ethical framework that guides personal conduct and societal norms. Values such as honesty, compassion, justice, and respect for others are central to this framework and are meant to be applied universally.

    4. Legal and Social Systems – Sharia, or Islamic law, is derived from the Quran and Hadith and covers a wide range of areas including criminal justice, civil transactions, family law, and personal conduct. This legal system aims to establish justice and harmony in society, further illustrating Islam's role as a comprehensive way of life.

5.Purpose of Creation – The Quran emphasizes that humans were created to worship Allah (Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:56), but worship in Islam is not confined to ritual acts. It includes any action done with the intention of pleasing Allah, thereby integrating faith into every aspect of life.

6.Community and Social Responsibility – Islam places a strong emphasis on community and social responsibility. Concepts such as Zakat (mandatory charity), Sadaqah (voluntary charity), and the importance of family and community support reflect the idea that living an Islamic life involves contributing to the well-being of society.

In summary, Islam is a comprehensive system that provides a framework for living in accordance with the guidance established by God.
