Is this the same thing as that Atomic Habits book? Of all those self help book I thought that one sounded the best. Regardless I think this was a great video!
Tiny things are a lot ❤️
"It gets easier. But you've got to do it everyday. That's the hard part."
Routine is hard at first but with repetition transforms into a habit(autopilot) ex. After doing it for long enough- a cold shower instantly after waking up may become the most natural and rewarding thing to do.
Surrounding the most important cue- minimizes the need of willpower
my toddler has grown too powerful
I think I somewhat already do these things, but understanding an abstract explanation to how they work is really useful.
I have developed deep feelings for this channel.
Protect Kurzgesagt all costs.
Simply the amount of citations you guys have provided and cared for your subscribers so much that you dumbed it down makes you the best science channel..
The best channel on youtube hands down.. and this is one of the best motivational videos .. Love Kurzgesagt ❤️
Maybe only a couple of people will see this but one way I've been working on looking after myself better is to say "now is better than never". So okay brushing your teeth is best in the morning and night but if I struggle to do it then, doing it at 230pm is better than not doing it at all. Maybe eating dinner is best at 7pm, but it's 11pm is better than not having dinner at all.
What’s the beef with reddit lol
Wow
I've noticed it takes a long time for me to develop habits. Many, many months. I often drop the new routines before they become habits because it can be hard to be consistent. Adult life feels like a constant rebalancing of priorities and eventually the habit I'm trying to develop has to give when other things need to be prioritized.
I almost didn't watch this but so glad i did. Such a greatly made video. The animation is so cute!
"You set an alarm for 6:30." Came right as my phones alarm went off.
WE NEEDED TO HEAR THAT.

I started working out two years ago after this video was uploaded. There is a significant change in my body. I love that I made a change in my life. Thank you guys for this wonderful video. 🙏
TikDuk is nice 😀
this is summary video for the book "ATOMIC HABITS" by JAMES CLEAR
Focusing on smaller goals… I have seen this approach for countless times, but this is the first time I see a proof that this is the right way to do it
Thanks for video
Do you hate doing things you find unpleasant day after day after day? Well, to fix this, all you have to do is do things you find unpleasant day after day after day.
I did the simple action of changing into my gym clothes at work before I left. This meant I didn’t have to change AT the gym, so I could walk in a just start working out. It also helped reduce my excuses. If I felt tired, I said “well I’m already in my clothes, might as well work out for just a few minutes” then I would always do a full workout.
I had a boss that was extraordinary unproductive and overweight. She would go nuts for these kinds of tips and hacks thinking she could reduce the friction of a habit/task down to zero. It just won’t happen. You can dramatically reduce all that unnecessary friction, but the “good” will always be harder than the “easy”

Thank you, this video is very meaningful.
