    5. Drink green tea and matcha
    6. Only eat until your 80% full

I recently adopted having Nattō rice and miso for breakfast. It’s an awesome game changer!!

  • @ItsMikeRothe

Really enjoyed the video, a lot of helpful tips. I have several Asian markets near me, a few carry a lot of Japanese goods. For natto is there a brand you might recommend or suggest if there is one that has the better nutrition? I've had it before but never thought to mix it with my rice and want to try that. Appreciate it. <3

Drop whatever you are doing and go read the book Womans’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, its absolutely life changing, trust me on this

  • @davidjd123

I was like this with America, and being white, growing up being told America is a bully, and white people are evil, I grew up to realize that is far from true, Nobody should hate where they come from.

  • @SheriSoltes

Nice, but go vegerarian or even vegan. That will help animals more than thanking them for being forced into inhumane conditions and then slaughtered for people’s gluttony and laziness.

  • @Healthraz

    It was very useful information

I am leaving for my first trip to Japan next week! Your video was excellent! I wish we North Americans would practice being grateful for food, eating slowly and stopping before getting full. I include myself too! Just watching this video made me calm down!

  • @amyvilla3409

I understand eating a little bit of multiple things but why not put it all on one plate? 🤔

  • @NormanOkada

I love natto. I eat natto and wasabi.

  • @hiisusie4247

This is such a great habits I will try it Thank you!

I loved this video so much and just wanted to share that with you in case you read this. I've been working on adding changes to my life and somehow the Japanese way of eating really speaks to me. Funnily enough I've received my matcha, whisk and spoon on Wednesday and have made matcha latte for 3 days now. I've read about how people don't use the whisk and use an electric thingie instead because it takes too long for them. I immediately was like: wait, really? I mean the whole authentic way of making it is what got me even a bit obsessing over it, haha. It's like you said, I feel like it's this nice little routine that adds some zen, mindful moment into my morning. I bet it'll even be more so with what you said about just really listening to the sound of the whisk, so I wanted to really thank you for that!

Sorry for the long comment haha, that happens when I'm really excited about something. Next up I'm going to try the 80% full thing, although I have issues with sensing when I need to eat or when I'm full so I'm not sure how to, yet. But adding several plates and eating slowly and mindfully will probably be a really good start. So thanks again!

And I love the editing of your video too by the way:)

    Have a lovely day 🩷

I am a Pakistani I follow same eating habits as part of my religion. But I love Japanese as a nation, I have never been to Japan but I still love their culture. I love their cleanliness, mannerism, hard work. Only thing I feel odd about is growing number of suicides in Japan other then that it seems to be best part of world to me. I have even adapted no shoes in home from Japanese culture.

  • @FaithfulReasoning

Love Japan and its culture and habits are far better than rest of the world. USA is a dump place, glad you moved back.

Wow ! If people follow this advice they will become severely chronically sick 😢

  • @promethenatv5217

Mauvais conseils! En Caucase les gens vivent plus longtemps et ils mangent ce que vous croyez mal pour la santé! Tout dépends de la personne et le peuple! Les japonais sont très fragiles physiquement et mentalement.

  • @ninaw1790

Hi, I never comment on videos but I am commenting on yours because it means so much to me that you can share Japanese culture with me. I am a Japanese girl who grew up in America who never really got the chance to truly know more about my culture until later in life (due to personal reasons). I love the "fun facts" you put in your videos about japan, like getting to know about how you learn what foods are healthy in school are amazing because I always grew up wishing they would do that in america. The more I Iearn about my culture the more japanese I realize I am. Please don't stop making these videos, I get to see more about my culture through what you share!

  • @basakakdas6121

You are so cute! I'm watching this video from Turkey. I relaised that we do some of these cultural habits too❤❤

  • @laurewinkelmans9501

Interesting video. I really love Japanese food and new healthy habits are always good. I already do a few of these, so yay me. I've never tried nato though.

  • @ci1161

Isn't nato high in sodium? I would like to try nato due to its health benefits but I'm worried about the salt intake.

After watching this, i just realized how toxic my previous boss really was. Example is on the side of eating slowly. I remember how he always gloated that he can eat his lunch for 5 mins only so that he can cater more patients. It's like him saying he's more productive at work because he can eat fast. But he always complained about how fat he was getting 😂 anyways it was like an indirect way to point out that we can also be productive for his business by eating fast, or skipping meals, or having meals very late. It had been like that for almost a couple of years, me not seeing the reddest of flags, but I'm glad i left already. I'm more content where i am right now.
