They emphasise the role of the Public Buildings Department (PBT) in designing disaster-resistant buildings, ensuring compliance with local and national rules, and addressing environmental problems caused by businesses or government offices. Sharing session from MPKlang is an eye opening and compact with useful infomations as well as future strategies in implementing carbon-city free goals. I am very interested in GES initiative made by MPKlang and found it is a need for eveyr PBT to start implementing this system as well. The sharing session was so interesting as we gained more knowledge about the current plan of LCC in Klang. Thanks a lot to Centre of Environmental Health and MPK Klang. Instead of just knowing Klang as Low Carbon City on the board, now we knew more about how LCC implemented in Klang. The initiative should be the very good examples to other MPK at other states as it also helps to achieve to reach the goals of SDG13 which to achieve net zero carbon emission in the world by 2050. MPK Klang will be the role model to other MPK to support green practises to take care of our Earth.

Salam im amsyar from UiTM puncak alam. Im so glad about this sharing from MAJLIS PERBANDARAN KLANG about low carbon cities. The LCCF looks at addressing carbon emissions in 4 main areas: Urban Environment, Urban Infrastructure, Urban Transportation and Buildings. It provides the necessary tools – including city design guidelines, measurement and reporting methodology as well as an assessment and recognition programme – to implement low-carbon strategies in a systematic and impactful manner. I hope in the future i have chance to give same sharing session when i work 😊

Its unfortunate that we ran to some technical issues during the session. Perhaps it is a call for us to pay a visit physically to MPK for a real experience with them in the future.
